During his first initial consultation, Troy mentioned that he had invisalign treatment in the past but never had attachments (those are crucial as they help aligners to ‘grip’ on the teeth so much better and apply the pressure which is necessary for the teeth to move) and the final result just wasn’t what he expected.
Troy was keen to go ahead with the treatment (using invisalign aligners, since he was familiar with the process already) and we discussed the main concerns that we will address:
- Crowding
- 1/2 II L Molars
- Minimise black triangles (particularly in U1s)
- Prevent further gum recession
A brief summary of 15 months of treatment:
- Only a few ‘in person’ visits (as Troy used dental monitoring throughout his treatment)
- IPR completed to prevent gum recession and minimise black triangles
- 2 refinements
- Elastic wear in order to correct the bite
- Possibility to have bioclear (for U1s), but left it up to Troy to decide on that
- Teeth whitening will bring the end result to the next level
